Hey, so this is a rough draft of a track I’ve been working on. I made the instrumental in LMMS and then recorded the vocals and additional guitar in MixPad. I still have yet to write the other verses etc and I don’t really like the chorus (in fact, the same applies for the entire song - or what there is of the song) so I might rewrite that whilst I’m at it. And yeah… I’m not a good singer so I apologise for my voice. ^^”

• Answer:

  Ah, sorry, I haven’t logged in for ages so this reply is probably pretty late! Um, I think it went okay, actually… (I say, tentatively.) I was really nervous and my voice wasn’t great (but then again it never is, so, you know ^^”); Mitty, on the other hand, totally killed it. She was amazing. Seriously. xD <3 
  
  As far as I know, we didn’t make any major mistakes. Our second song, Eternity, went better than the first one, When We Fell, in my opinion. (Talking of which, we should probably record Eternity sometime!) Partly because we were more confident at the time… And also partly because we wrote the song Eternity fairly recently; hopefully, our songwriting has developed since writing When We Fell.

  So yeah, it wasn’t as horrendous as I thought it would be… Being the total geek that I am, I did really enjoy playing with an amp and singing with a mic. I think all in all it was a good experience.

  *sigh* It is most annoying when dear Mini fails to recognise her own talent *sigh* but yes, it went much better than I thought it would (optimistic, I know) and I actually really enjoyed it! As Mini said, Eternity was the best out of the two that we sang, and we definately need to record it at some point!

Why are we doing the cabaret?

Today we played When We Fell to the organisers and I swear I was shaking so bad and my voice was shaking and my voice broke on the high notes and I didn’t time my breaths properly and I screwed up my harmonies and, basically, it wasn’t good.

If I’m like that in front of three people, imagine a proper audience.

So fricking scared. 

And the thing is, we didn’t sign up for the cabaret. We were made to do it. And now we’ve been told we need to be more confident. You can’t just expect people to be confident when they are not of a confident nature usually and they didn’t even volunteer to be in the show.

Hey, so this is a rough instrumental I’ve been working on in LMMS. It’s not perfect… But I think it’s better than my previous attempts… Emphasis on “think”. You may disagree… O_o I just feel like I work better acoustically. I’m still learning how to use LMMS properly so bear with me. This track is titled Monopoly at the moment but I’m trying to write a song to it so it will probably change some time in the near future. I have a feeling this is going to end up as another mandarin song… I seem to be writing a lot of those lately. ^^”
